I’m not sure I’ve ever met anyone that didn’t like Turkey Run State Park. Its a refuge in a state covered in corn and beans. Its known for its gorges and canyons cut out of Mansfield sandstone.
Turkey Run covers 2,382 acres in Parke County. It was created in 1916 after Richard Lieber purchased the land for $40,200.
Camping is offered nearby outside of the park while the Turkey Run Inn is located inside the park. Cabins are also available. Canoes, kayaks, and tubes are available to enjoy Sugar Creek which cuts through the park.
